Convert SVG to PNG

SVG stays sharp at any size, but many apps want a PNG. This page draws the SVG onto a canvas using its width, height or viewBox, then saves a PNG. It never uploads the SVG.

Questions about this conversion

What pixel size will the PNG be?

The SVG’s width and height are used, or its viewBox when those are missing. The longer side is limited to 4096 pixels so a huge viewBox cannot freeze the tab.

Why can’t the server convert SVG?

Rasterizing SVG on the server would need Imagick, which is not installed. The browser draws it instead, and you will see an error if the SVG cannot be parsed.

Are SVG scripts run?

No. The file is drawn as an image, so script and external references inside the SVG do not run.
