Convert HEIC to JPG

iPhones shoot HEIC by default. Drop the photo here and save a JPG. Decoding happens on your device with a HEIC library that loads only when you add a HEIC file.

Questions about this conversion

Are HEIC photos uploaded to convert them?

No. This server cannot read HEIC. The browser decodes the photo locally and writes the JPG locally. If decoding fails, the row shows the reason instead of failing quietly.

What about HEIF and bursts?

HEIF uses the same decoder. A burst or a Live Photo with several frames converts the first image and says so on the row.

Why might a browser refuse a HEIC file?

The decoder uses WebAssembly. A very old browser, or a locked-down content policy, will show an error on that row. Try the latest Chrome, Edge or Safari.
